1. The principle
We keep personal data only for as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires — whichever is longer. When that period ends, the data is deleted or anonymised so it can no longer identify anyone. This policy states the periods; the Privacy Policy explains the purposes and legal bases.
2. Retention periods
- Account data (name, email, phone if given) — kept while the account is open, then deleted within 90 days of closure, except where an accounting obligation requires longer.
- Order and payment records (package, quantity, price, target, transaction references) — kept for the period required by accounting and consumer-protection law in our place of establishment, commonly up to 10 years. These records cannot be deleted on request while that obligation runs.
- Support conversations (contact form, live chat, email) — kept for 24 months, so a repeat issue can be traced, then deleted.
- Security and access logs (IP address, login events, error traces) — kept for 12 months, which is proportionate to their purpose of detecting abuse and diagnosing incidents.
- Marketing consent records — kept for as long as the consent is active and for 3 years after withdrawal, because we have to be able to prove when consent was given and withdrawn.
- Browser-stored preferences (theme, cookie choice) — these live on your device, not our servers, and you can clear them at any time.
3. Backups
Backups are retained on a rolling schedule and overwritten in turn. Data deleted from the live system may persist in a backup until that backup rotates out; it is not restored into the live system except during a genuine recovery, and a recovery does not resurrect deleted records.
4. Deletion requests
You can ask us to delete your data through the Contact page. We delete what we are not required to keep and tell you plainly what remains and under which obligation. Order records tied to an accounting duty are the usual exception.
5. Changes
If a retention period changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new revision date. Shortening a period applies immediately; lengthening one applies only where a new legal obligation requires it.
